A guide to keeping your preserved florals beautiful for years to come
Each Backroads Resin Co. piece is handcrafted using your real blooms — preserved with intention, artistry, and care. Because every piece contains natural flowers, small variances and textures are part of its beauty. With the right care, your piece will stay radiant for generations.
UV rays can cause natural flowers to fade over time.
Place your piece in a shaded or softly lit area for the best longevity.
Resin can expand or contract with temperature swings.
For best results:
Keep indoors
Avoid displaying near heaters, fireplaces, windowsills, or outdoor spaces
Although sealed in resin, florals are still organic.
Do not place your piece in bathrooms, greenhouses, kitchens near steam, or anywhere that experiences consistent humidity.
Resin should never be cleaned with harsh chemicals.
Use a soft microfiber cloth to wipe dust
For fingerprints, use a slightly damp cloth with water
For tough smudges, a tiny amount of gentle dish soap (like Dawn) diluted with water
Alcohol
Acetone
Abrasive cleaners
Rough sponges or scrubbing pads
These can dull the shine or cause clouding.
Your piece is finished with a professional-grade resin topcoat. To maintain the high gloss:
Avoid stacking items on top
Do not slide objects across the surface
Store flat pieces like trays or blocks on a soft surface if needed
If your piece ever becomes slightly dull, contact me for refinishing options — I offer restoration + re-polishing services.
Because these are real flowers, not artificial ones:
Some blooms deepen or darken during preservation
Whites may shift to ivory or soft champagne
Reds, blues, and purples can become richer and moodier
Tiny air bubbles or organic textures are considered natural characteristics
Each piece is one-of-a-kind — just like your bouquet.
Display your resin artwork the way you would fine art
Keep away from direct sunlight
Dust gently
Maintain moderate room temperature
Handle with clean, dry hands
With gentle care, your preservation piece can last decades.
